Passmark ("we", "us", "our") is a driving instructor and learner data platform operated by Baulin Technologies. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it. Our registered correspondence address is in the United Kingdom.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use Passmark:

  • Account Data: Name, email address, role (instructor or learner), and password (stored hashed).
  • Driving Lesson Data: Fault logs, lesson notes, lesson types, dates, and durations submitted during sessions.
  • Readiness Scores: AI-generated readiness percentages and competency breakdowns derived from fault data.
  • Profile Data: Instructors may provide a bio, location, and profile photo.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and session duration for improving the platform.
  • Communications: Emails or messages sent through the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Passmark service. This includes:

  • Creating and managing your account
  • Displaying readiness scores and lesson histories
  • Generating AI-powered lesson plans via Google Gemini
  • Connecting learners with instructors on the platform
  • Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, notifications)
  • Improving the platform through aggregate, anonymised analytics

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only as necessary to provide the service:

  • Supabase — Our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in EU-based servers.
  • Google Gemini — Fault log summaries are sent to Google's AI service to generate lesson plans. No personally identifiable information is shared.
  • Vercel — Our hosting provider. Traffic and request data may be processed in accordance with Vercel's privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance.
